if found the windows-graphics app (~15 MB)on a linux host - does it make any sense to waste that bandwidth?

These are the flash files which are distributed. They are only in the application and distributed once, NOT on every wu. They are inside the app to be displayed also on Linux systems to have an view to the structues. If you have a flsh player you can see them. Also some browsers are able to play them without any helper application.

Hello,
our wus are real work units, no test work units. We still get scientific results out of them. Now we are facing the issue, that wus are extreme short, so I will probably enhance the wu generator to save them localy on the server and run them there.
We will always enhance the possibility and functionality of the project. So there will be never 100 ready without further developments ;)

Don't think about what all the people can crunch. They can crunch a lot. Just focus on providing new work units for your reasearch.

Probably on Friday evening (UTC) we will start to setup the new server and move RNA World to it over the weekend. There will be probably some RNA World outages during weekend. To limit the risk of loosing credits and/or results, you should report your results before Friday evening. Thanks to all donations to make this possible!

Please remember (it is clearly stated) that this is still a Beta project where some things might not work as on a production system and where some things needs small tweaking.

The credits are not touched.
Only the rac is set temporary to a value which allows profile creation to check the proper translations. The rac will go down automatic if no wus are crunched.
The credit stats are not impacted.

Nikolay did a fast and beautiful job to translate everything to Russian. And he needs the chance to verify it.

Seems to be a bug in the Boinc server side, which caches the page always in the language which was used on cache update.

RNA World is now available in the Boinc translation system (BTS). The project can now be translated to any language. Currently there are only 4 languages available. If you want to translate to an additional language, just give me a note and I add the template.

Rechenkraft.net e.V. is a charity, mainly financed by there members. These are all private people. The budget is very less currently.

We think that we need round about 600,- Euro to rent a server for one year.

Last night our server was total overloaded. Also the disc is now nearly full. We need now to rent a much more powerfull server with much more disc space. For this we need donations or sponsors to help us with the costs. If some people, company or organisation wants to donate something or to be a sponsor, you are welcome. Just contact us. Only with a bigger server we can go public with the project.

I didn't steal any credit from any user to the Rechenkraft.net team!

And there are a couple of projects which have invitation codes at the beginning for test and where users/computers belonging to the institute of the project are running test.

Your blaming is not fair!

There is no need to join my projects, if you don't like me ;)
